Hi, everyone. Just a quick post to let you know we are staying at a place with no cellular coverage. We ducked into Hamilton, NZ to use it at café. Tomorrow, we drive back to Auckland and the next day fly to the South Island. Wait, all this beauty and we’ve only seen half of the country? And even the North Islanders say the South Island is the pretty part? Stay tuned.
Meanwhile: Back in New Plymouth, we visited a garden in a rain forest. Hardly the kind of weather you associate with a rain forest. But a true jungle outside of the garden. We hacked our way through trails, crossed a swinging bridge, and headed up the steep summit until a huge tree across the path made us turn back. We’re near Raglan in our place with no wifi. Though it does have this fella, Leroy. And cows atop the hill. We saw a great waterfall nearby. Otherwise, getting ready for the transition to the South Island.
Love Leroy and the waterfall. You’re missing a heck of a winter so far!
Glad you’re enjoying the blog. We’ve heard it’s a rough winter already. Going to make it all the harder for us to return in January! Brrr.
Great photos, really enjoy seeing all the wonderful adventures. Enjoy
Glad you’re enjoying it!
